Great sites for Interactive Whiteboards

Freeware (Software safe to download.)

CUTEPDF - save word processing documents to PDF format for free with this free resource - (Click here)

http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/stickies/ - This great little program allows you to create virtual sticky notes on your desktop.

For those of us who loved LEGOs as kids (and still do!), Digital Designer is a blast. This CAD (Computer-Aided Design) program allows users to “build” with LEGOs on the computer and then save the picture or project (PC version only; MAC version has “issues”). Nothing is better than playing with the real thing, but this is a great way to introduce CAD to elementary students (and teachers!). http://www.educationworld.com/a_tech/gadget/gadget007.shtml - Logo Digital Designer

CamStudio is one of the handiest tools available for screencasting. This open-source program allows you to create videos of what you’re doing on your computer and to add narration. There’s little to set up once you install the program. Choose the area of your screen you want to record, set your narration, and press the standard red record button in the amStudio window. (F9 is the default stop command.) The videos are created in avi format. Great for making ‘how to’ vignettes! - http://camstudio.org/
