We
are excited to have you here! Please feel free to drop by the
Counselor's Office at any time. I want to get to know each of you
and help you with any questions or concerns you may have.
Important
Information for Seventh Graders:
Be sure to read your student handbook and get to
know your school rules, attendance policies, opportunities for
involvement, dress code, etc.
Start your year with a plan to get involved, stay organized
and do your very best in all your classes.
Use your planner to keep up with assignments and important
dates.
Get involved and have FUN! School is like everything in life
- the more you put into it, the more you get out of it.
Make an effort to get to know new people this year.
Everyone has a story worth hearing!
Develop your skills and talents and appreciate the different
skills and talents others have to offer.

Programs
In order to be eligible for this program, a student must
score in the 95th percentile or higher on a grade level standardized
achievement, aptitude, mental ability test battery or approved state
criterion-referenced test.
Once a student has been reconized as meeting the
above-mentioned criteria, he or she must complete either a paper
application or apply online at www.tip.duke.edu.
Qualifying students at Lee-Scott Academy will be notified
during the month of September and invited to particpate in this program.
