GOLF TEAM – STATE CHAMPS - Congratulations to the LSA Golf Team for winning the AISA State Championship last week!

BUSHES REMOVED - Several people have inquired about the removal of the bushes along the walkway from the parking lot to the front of the buildings. These bushes were removed because there was a safety concern regarding visibility and the attraction of bees.

We greatly appreciate all of the donations that have been made. These funds are used to benefit our school and our students in ways that tuition does not cover. If you would like to make a donation to this year’s Annual Fund and help us reach our goal, please direct all gifts to the LSA Development Office.

PHILANTHROPY 101 - LSA has an exciting three week summer program for rising seniors that brings the principles of philanthropy to life. This is the third summer that this program has been offered to rising LSA seniors. We have 11 students who applied and were accepted to the program this summer. Students become more keenly aware of society’s growing needs and begin to develop the understanding, desire, ability, and instincts for philanthropic service. Students visit a variety of nonprofit agencies and foundations and hear speakers from a number of charitable organizations. Philanthropy 101 is generously funded by The W. James Samford, Jr. Foundation. Students are given a certain amount of money to donate to one non-profit program of their choice after reviewing several in our area. They are required to prepare and present a PowerPoint presentation at the culminating ceremony. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students! If you have any questions about this program, please contact Christy Garner. <
