Application Process
All candidates for admission are considered with care. Admission decisions are individually determined and are based upon academic records, ability, achievement test scores and interviews. The Admissions Committee considers what our school can offer each candidate and also what contributions the candidate can make to the Lee-Scott Academy family.
The admissions process varies slightly with the grade to which the application is made but includes these common elements:
- Application (click here to download) and non-refundable registration fee
- Transcripts or report cards: Past performance is a strong indicator of futre performance. Grades, tardies, absences and teacher comments all enable us to see how prospective students have performed in their past school.
- Interviews: Each applicant is asked to visit our school and participate in an interview. Secondary students are welcome to schedule a time to shadow a current student in either their present grade or the grade in which they may potentially be enrolled.
- Contract: Once an offer of enrollment has been extended by Lee-Scott Academy, a signed enrollment contract and payment of the non-refundable registration fee will be required to secure your child a place in that class.
Qualified students who are not initially offered contracts will be placed on the waiting list. Decisions are made on student qualifications and readiness rather than the length of time a candidate has been on the waiting list. When a place becomes available in a class, each child from the pool will be reconsidered.
