Early Childhood
The Lee-Scott Academy Early Childhood program is designed to provide a safe and pleasant atmoshere in which students may develop socially, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Our goals and objectives are carefully geared toward the needs and developmental stages of the individual pupil.
The pre-school program uses familiar teaching vehicles to introduce language skills and number awareness. Our thematic approach is based on our belief that four-year-olds thrive and learn in an atmosphere that stresses "fun with a purpose" and promotes the pure joy of learning.
The kindergarten program provides experiences designed to promote growth, challenge thinking, build self-confidence, and encourage independence. Attention is given to the development of respect for the importance of each student, good relationships with others, and a desire to exhibit proper conduct.
Beginning with the 2012-2013 school year, the iPod Touch will be incorporated into instructional activities in Early Childhood classrooms.
Parents are encouraged to enrich the program by sharing your experiences, talents, and hobbies with the students and serving as chaperones on field trips. These are wonderful opportunities for parents to share special school experiences with their student.
