Athletic Update and Information for Fall Sports
We hope this information finds you well, and enjoying summer with your family! Coach Ivatt and I are excited to be tasked with leading the athletic program at Lee-Scott Academy, and look forward to working with you and your student-athlete as we open our sports seasons. Below are several important dates, reminders, and general information about the athletic program as we begin preparing for the fall sports season.
Athletic Eligibility –
ALL student-athletes must have the following on file with the school before participating. Failure to have these on file before official practices begin could result in the student-athlete not being able to participate. Forms can be downloaded from the website HERE.
- Physical Form
- Medical History Form
- Medical Release Form
- AISA Participation Permit
- Sportsmed/The Orthopaedic Clinic Treatment Form
- Parent’s Consent to Treat Form
- Concussion Information Form
- Birth Certificate
- Insurance Coverage
If you have any questions about these forms, please email Coach Ivatt at email@example.com
Athletic Handbook –
LSA adopted an athletic handbook last year in addition to the individual coaches policies and requirements for their teams. The handbook can be viewed on the website HERE and parts of it will be reviewed by coaches in their parents meeting at the beginning of the season.
All-Sports Program and Athletic Passes –
Information about athletic passes, supporting the all-sports program as a sponsor, or placing an ad in the program can be found on the website HERE. The deadline to be included in the program is July 27. If you have any questions about the all-sports program, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Fall Team Photos –
Team photos are being scheduled and individual coaches will send out that information to parents and players on the date and time these are to be taken. We will take these this year by teams on individual dates rather than have one picture day for all teams.
The month of June has been busy with summer strength and conditioning workouts being held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The teams will take a break the week of July 2 – 6, but will pick-up on July 9 with these workouts on Mondays – Thursdays. Varsity players (10th – 12th) workout from 8:00am – 10:00am, and junior varsity players (7th – 9th) workout from 10:00am – 12:00pm on these days. Questions about football workouts or practice, please email Coach Maddox at email@example.com

The Pee-Wee football program will begin after school starts. More information will be sent home with students the first week of school.
As in the last couple of years, LSA will not field a termite team this season. Prior to the 2017 athletic season, the AISA Athletic Committee made the decision to no longer recognize Termite football as a team sport in AISA member schools.
