"Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose." I believe Lyndon Johnson was on to something with the quote. As a counselor, I wholeheartedly believe we cannot change our past but we can build upon our experiences to influence a positive future. As a licensed professional counselor, I have counseled individuals in all walks of life. From children to adults, I find joy in walking alongside you and helping you see your full potential. I'm a cognitive-behavioral counselor that works primarily with children and adolescents but welcome all individuals who are ready to see a change in their life.
Over the past 7 years, I have provided counseling services from children to adults with concerns related to self-esteem, anger, behavioral concerns, ADHD, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, incarceration, and suicidal ideations. I am a certified-ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Stills Training) trainer and have certifications in human trafficking.
At times, we all need a little extra support. Asking for help and moving outside of your comfort zone can be daunting. I strive to meet you where you are and encourage change as you are ready. As a CBT counselor, I focus on solutions, encouraging you to challenge distorted cognitions and change destructive patterns of behavior--at your own pace.
