SAIS-AdvancEd ACCREDITATION – Final Written Report

 In Featured

A team from the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and AdvancED visited Lee-Scott Academy from February 11 – 13, 2019. During this three-day site visit, the five-member Peer Review Team interviewed Lee-Scott board members, parents, students, teachers, administrators, alumni, and committee heads in order to make their final accreditation recommendation.

School accreditation is a type of quality assurance process through which the services and operations of schools are evaluated by an external body to determine if established standards are being met. As part of this process, the school is expected to engage in and develop a self-improvement plan. Lee-Scott is subject to re-accreditation by SAIS-AdvancED every five years.

Lee-Scott Academy received the formal written report from SAIS and AdvancED with commendations and recommendations, which will be incorporated into the school’s Strategic Plan. Click HERE to view a summary of the peer review team report.
