PERFORMING ARTS

LSA Performing Arts can be summed up in one word – FAMILY. Here at LSA, we offer opportunities to audition for productions in 3rd through 12th grade. This age range gives our high school students an opportunity to mentor our younger actors. This theatre family has come together to put on family-friendly shows like The Little Mermaid, Jr.; The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; The Sound of Music; and Annie, Jr. Our Elementary theatre group produced The Lion King, Jr. in the fall of 2015, with rave reviews. Our high school group has been challenged as actors and executed with professionalism through shows like The Miracle Worker; You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown; and Neil Simon’s Fools.

Our troupe also competes at the AISA State Drama Festival and Alabama Thespian Festival annually. LSA Drama has won 1st place in the Musical Theatre category from 2016-2018 among other awards, many All-Star Cast awards and the Best Actor award (2018). Many of our participants have earned Superiors at ATF and have traveled to Nebraska to compete on the international level.

All productions are under the leadership of Mrs. Tricia Oliver, who brings the experience of a lifetime of stage performance and as former director of the Youth program of the Auburn Area Community Theatre to Lee-Scott.
