𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐑 𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄Lee-Scott Academy is excited to welcome Mrs. Tera Dennis as the Lower School's new permanent Substitute Teacher! Mrs. Dennis has substituted for LSA teachers many times and will now be at the school each day.Mrs. Dennis and her family have long been a part of the Warrior family! Her and her husband, Ronnie, have two children: Olivia and Drake. Olivia is a 2021 graduate of LSA set to graduate from Auburn University this fall in accounting while Drake will be a rising 10th Grade student at LSA. The Dennis family loves to travel and visit many national parks. Yesterday, at this year’s Annual AISA Meeting, Lee-Scott Academy was named a Blue Ribbon School and was awarded The Chairman’s Award for the 2023-2024 school year.Blue Ribbons are handed out to recognize AISA schools with outstanding educational programs. Schools must display and exemplify excellence in scholastic achievement, professional learning, student involvement & community interaction.The Chairman’s Award is given to a school in each classification to recognize the athletic excellence they’ve achieved during the school year. 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐑 𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄Lee-Scott Academy is excited to welcome Mrs. Kelly Pate to be an Upper School English teacher. Mrs. Pate was previously at LSA for 3 years in the classroom and has been active substitute teacher since then. We’re thrilled to have her back full time!Mrs. Pate earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Language Arts Composite Secondary from Auburn University as well as her Master’s in Reading Specialist from Auburn University at Montgomery. With her degrees, she has been a teacher in the state for nearly 20 years and is truly excited about being able to teach literature and writing from a biblical, Christ-centered perspective again.Mrs. Pate and her husband, Greg, have been married for over 33 years and have three children, two grandchildren and one dog together.We’re incredibly happy to welcome the Pate family back to LSA and cannot wait to see how her teaching positively affects our Upper School students inside and outside of the classroom! ... 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐑 𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄Lee-Scott Academy is excited to welcome Mrs. Julie Henthorne to LSA as the Lower School's newest addition to the K4 team.Mrs. Henthorne received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education from Auburn University and has been in the education field for over 18 years. Her teaching background consists of 12 years in a Pre-K or Kindergarten classroom, serving in leadership for Early Childhood Development, and working at the Auburn University Autism Center.Mrs. Henthorne has been married to her husband, PJ, for 18 years and they have three daughters, Sarah Atchley, Caroline, and Emma, who are active in softball and dance. They love to attend their daughters' events as well as any and all Auburn basketball games. The Henthorne family attends Church of the Highlands in Auburn.We are thrilled to have Mrs. Henthorne in the classroom with our youngest Warriors.
