Participants will be instructed in forming each piece out of raw clay and given creative freedom for designs. The pieces will be completed by the instructor after camp and be available for pickup three weeks later at the school. | Read & Roar with Dinosaurs REGISTER HERE | June 23-26 (9:00am-12:00pm) | Rising 2nd Grade Students | Wendy Bass | $200 | LSA Classroom | This camp will help to create interest in the summer reading assignment for twelve rising 2nd graders. Students will be transported in time in our own Magic Tree House to the land of dinosaurs. Our mini paleontologists will dig into dinosaur books, create some "dino"-mite art, conduct experiments, and research different dinosaurs. Students will receive a copy of The Magic Treehouse Dinosaurs Before Dark, one of our summer reading books, and a reading log to complete nightly reading assignments with the book. The book will be discussed during camp and activities will correlate to nightly reading assignments. This is a great way to complete summer required reading, and reduce the struggle of waiting to the last minute. A snack will be provided each morning, and we will also have a daily recess. Because camps fill up quickly and spots are reserved, there will be non-refundable fee for your camp reservation. The full amount of $200 will be due by Friday, February 2nd at 3:00pm. Please make checks payable to Wendy Bass in the amount of $200. Your child's spot is secured when payment is received. Topics covered will be the basic mathematical concepts and discuss how they relate to Algebra, including: multiplication facts, fraction operations, integer operations, order of operations, divisibility rules, solving basic equations and the correct use of calculators. | LSA Summer Volleyball Camp REGISTER HERE | July 8-10 (9-11am) | Rising 1st - 6th Grade Girls | Coach Brad Starks | $125 | Samford Gymnasium | Does your student want to improve her volleyball skills such as serving, passing, setting, hitting, and blocking? Join Coach Starks and the Lee-Scott Varsity team for fundamental instruction and fun competitive games this summer! Complete the following form to register for the 2025 Summer Volleyball Camp directed by Brad Starks. Camp will take place in the LSA gym on July 8th-10th from 9:00-11:00. The cost of the camp is $125 (non-refundable) and is open for students in grades (rising) 1st-6th. The camp will take place on the LSA campus Tuesday, July 8th - Thursday, July 10th from 9:00-11:00am.
